Don't Mask Your Safety - Ride Riders Without a Face Covering!
While Riders” riders and drivers are not required to wear masks, the CDC recommends wearing one if you fall into a high-risk group or live in an area with high transmission levels. For many people, even those with no underlying medical conditions, masks provide an extra layer of comfort. So please be mindful of personal preferences and take care of yourself. If at any time you feel unsafe or uncomfortable during an Riders’ ride, do not hesitate to cancel it.
Front Seat Freedom: More Space For All, But Only When You Call!
We aim to help create a more comfortable space for everyone during their ride. As of today, riders no longer have to sit in the back seat – however, out of respect for the driver, we kindly ask that riders only take the front seat if necessary because of their group size. So please keep this policy in mind when booking your trips with us.

With our new partnership with ADT, America’s most trusted home security brand, you can now get direct live help from a certified ADT safety agent right in the Riders app. If ever you’re on a trip and feel uncomfortable but aren’t in an emergency situation, all you have to do is tap the safety shield icon, select Contact Safety Agent, and get assistance either through phone or text. The agents are trained to handle any situation that may arise; if it becomes too serious, they can even call 911 for you.
Emergency Help When You Need It:
Emergencies don’t wait – and neither should you when it comes to getting help. That’s why we have included an Emergency Button in our Safety Toolkit; if ever you need urgent assistance while riding with the Riders app, simply press this button and contact your local 911. The app will share your location information as well as vehicle information such as license plate number so that help can be sent faster!

Rider Safety: Keep Your Ride Safe
Before you get in the car, make sure to check your ride’s license plate number, make and model, as well as the photo and name of the driver.
Driver Safety: Stay Secure on Every Trip
Ask riders to confirm your name too. This extra precaution is easy to do – just say “Hi, who is your driver?” or “Can you please confirm my name? It should be displayed on your app.”
